  • La Sala retreats follow a relaxed schedule that encourages rest, reflection and recreation. Our goal is for you to leave on Friday fully rested!

We provide a structure with many optional activities, but no part of the retreat sessions or activities is required. If you come exhausted and just need to sleep and recuperate, then please do so. If you come ready to do everything then please do so.

We intentionally have created a later morning for sleep in time or for that long run or hike. Sessions are focused on the theme with about 15-20 mins of thoughtful teaching, time for reflection and small group conversations.

Afternoons are open and free for your exploration or adventure. There is one guided activity by a host that is optional, but if you feel like riding horses, sightseeing the quaint town art galleries, wine tasting, going for a long bike ride through the vineyards, or simply taking a nap, then please do so.

  • Delicious food!

One thing we really focus on is having high quality and healthy meals. We will unabashedly splurge on better meals. Spoiler alert, we are foodies so great craft coffee, good wine, and high quality food is our love language. :)

  • The goal of the retreat is to rest and connect with each other and God. One way we are hoping to make rest and connection happen is by having the retreat house as a beautiful and restful place.

To help you fully enter into the rhythm of retreat, we ask to you prepare in advance to leave work and laptops home. However, we understand life is complicated, so to the extent a device has to be brought, we are asking that devices be kept in your private room and not brought to common areas.

We hope that by setting devices aside for the short time we are together, you can be fully present for each other.

  • Our retreats are Christian retreats. This includes the full spectrum of denominations. Past retreats have includeds evangelicals, Catholics, Anglicans, Episcopalians, and those on a spiritual journey.

Our retreats have also included a Chaplain and morning devotion/worship and evening devotion. There is also set aside time to pray alone and together throughout the retreat.

Our posture is one of grace and truth. We are trying to walk authentically and sincerely as Christians while being sensitive to welcoming with open arms those who are seeking a spiritual experience in a Christian retreat setting.
